Welcome. This is the help center for Daydrop, the calm daily planner and journal. Most questions are answered below. If you need anything else, email us and a real person (the developer!) will reply.
Contact: [email protected] We usually reply within 1–2 business days.
You can also send feedback directly from the app: Settings → Feedback.
Do I need to create an account? No account is required. Daydrop has no sign-up, email, or password. Your data stays private on your device and syncs through your personal iCloud.
How does Daydrop work? You can plan your day with to-dos and a schedule, reflect in your journal, and organize everything else — goals, vision boards, affirmations, and gratitude — inside Your Space.
Does Daydrop work offline? Yes. Daydrop works fully offline. Your changes are saved on your device right away, and they sync to iCloud automatically the next time you are online.
How does syncing work? Syncing happens automatically through iCloud. When you add something on one device, it appears on your others, as long as they use the same Apple ID with iCloud turned on.
Is my data backed up? Yes. Everything is stored in your personal iCloud, so it is backed up automatically and will restore if you set up a new device.
My data is not appearing on another device. Please confirm that both devices use the same Apple ID and have iCloud Drive enabled in the iOS Settings app, under your name and then iCloud. Syncing may take a moment after a change.
Can I use Daydrop on my iPad? Yes. Sign in with the same Apple ID on your iPad, and your content will appear and stay in sync automatically.
What happens if my iCloud storage is full? Your entries are always safe on your device, but syncing pauses until space is available — Daydrop shows a notice on your profile when this happens. Free up space or upgrade your storage in the Settings app, then syncing resumes automatically within a few minutes.
Does Daydrop use my iCloud storage? Yes, your entries count toward your iCloud storage because they live in your personal iCloud. Text entries are tiny; photos you add to journals and vision boards use the most space.
Where is my data stored? Your data is stored on your device and in your personal iCloud. It remains private to you. We never see or store your entries on our servers.
Can I export my data? Yes. Open Settings → My Account → Export My Data to save everything you have written as a single, easy-to-read file. Your content is also backed up automatically in your private iCloud.
